ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY—SEARCY: Beebe campus held Campus Cares Challenge to collect food and hygiene supplies for the college food pantry

Student leaders on the Beebe campus held another Campus Cares Challenge to collect food and hygiene supplies for the college food pantry.

On Monday, Dec. 12, the Pie in the Face challenge was held between Zackery Tucker, dean of students, Ryan Gibbons, assistant professor of communications and theatre, Meredith Gordon, assistant professor of biology, and Dr. Jennifer Methvin, chancellor. According to Zayd Kelley, student government president, the total number of items collected in the campaign was 534, with Tucker and Gibbons winning the Pie in the Face challenge.

The Campus Cares program began during the spring of 2019 to address food insecurity on college campuses and to create a food pantry to provide non-perishable foods and hygiene products to ASU-Beebe students on all campuses.
