Harding University issued the following announcement on June 24.
#HUTBT: This week the demolition of the Ganus Building began in order to prepare for the new Holland-Waller Center, which is scheduled to open Fall 2023. The Ganus Building was built in 1951 in honor of C.L. Ganus Sr. — President Ganus Jr.'s father — who was the chairman of the board of trustees at the time. When it was built, the Ganus Student Center included the College Inn cafe, post office, alumni office, bookstore, offices for the staffs of the Petit Jean yearbook and The Bison newspaper, and a second floor formal banquet hall. Tenor of Our Times, a student journal published by the Harding University History and Political Science Department, which was housed in the Ganus Building before it was razed, published a photo essay showing the history of the building: https://bit.ly/GanusPhotoEssay.
