City of Trumann issued the following announcement on April 7.
Representative Johnny Rye, Drainage District 7 member John Stuckey, Mayor Barbara Lewallen, Wayne Gairhan of Gairhan Farms, Matt Hyneman of Hyneman Farms, and Brian Richardson, representing Mayor Harold Copenhaver, all made presentations to the Mississippi River Commission asking for the Corps to dredge parts of Ditches 9 and 10 that help drain the Northeast Arkansas area. President of the Mississippi River Commission. The open meeting provides an opportunity for entities along the Mississippi River Valley to present information to the Commission about their issues and needs in relation to the services of the Corps of Engineers. All attendees appreciated the opportunity to address the Commission.
