Harding University issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.
We honored and remembered the life of Botham Jean. During the ceremony, the first Botham Jean Inspiration Award was given to his brother, Brandt Jean, who made a worldwide impact when he modeled true forgiveness in a Texas courtroom and inspired forgiveness in others.
