City of Lonoke issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
GREAT NEWS! Your regional Metroplan Board unanimously passed Resolution 21-13 which included funding for a host of project requests across the Central AR region. Among them was a Shared Use Path alongside the Hwy 31 upgrade in Lonoke! This project is slated to take place sometime mid-year 2022. Having applied for funds from two separate sources we now have a guarantee. This is a huge win not just for our community but for the surrounding area. Also presented at today's meeting were the current results from Crafton Tull's regional greenways public surveys. Lonoke is a potential benefactor on the East Corridor of a multi-modal greenway project and we need more folks to contribute to the conversation.
