Antioch Community Church -- A United Methodist Congregation recently issued the following announcement.

How to Fight Racism : Courageous Christianity and the Journey Toward Racial Justice by Jemar Tisby is a handbook for pursuing racial justice with hands-on suggestions supported by real-world examples of change. Tisby roots the ultimate solution to racism in the Christian faith as we embrace Jesus’ teachings to His disciples and His followers. Beginning in the church, Tisby provides an opportunity for the church to be part of the solution and suggests that adapting these principles can offer us hope that will transform the nation and world. Tisby encourages us to reject passivity and to become active participants in the struggle for human dignity across racial and ethnic lines. This study will offer the opportunity to come away with a clear model for how to think about race in productive ways and a compelling call to dismantle the social system based on skin color. Classes are held one hour each Thursday evening (6:00 PM – 7:00 pm CST). This course is eligible for 2.0 CEU.
