St. Joseph Catholic School Church recently issued the following announcement.

The 2021 St. Joseph Catholic Church & School Panther Basketball Clinic is scheduled for Monday, August 2 thru Wednesday, August 4. Online registration is now OPEN for any currently enrolled SJCS student and/or St. Joseph Church parishioners. Reserve your spot now for our 10th annual summer basketball clinic! Space is limited to 25 participants in each session. The fee includes a St. Joseph Panthers basketball t-shirt. Proceeds will help with the purchase of athletic equipment for the 2021-22 season. To be included with the t-shirt order, registration for school and/or church families is due July 23rd.
Who: Boys & Girls, Kindergarten - 8th Grade
Sessions and times are based on the grade the student is entering August 2021:
K - 1st boys & girls: 8:00am - 9:00am | $30
5th - 8th grade girls: 9:00am - 11:00am | $45
2nd - 4th grade girls: 11:00am - 12:30pm | $35
5th - 8th grade boys: 1:00pm - 3:00pm | $45
2nd - 4th grade boys: 3:00pm - 4:30pm | $35
Registration to fill any remaining spots will be open to the public on July 23rd, but registration will fill up quickly!
Location: DeBriyn Family Life Center Gym
The main focus for the clinic will be the development and enhancement of basketball fundamentals - ball-handling, dribbling, footwork, passing, rebounding, defending, off-ball movement, and shooting. Fun games will be incorporated throughout the week while Wednesday will include scrimmages. Each clinic will begin and end with prayer, and students will learn about character traits that are important to success in athletics. Many former SJCS Panther Alumni will help assist in coaching and teaching every session along with Coach Barnes and Coach Wilburn.
