ST. JAMES CHURCH – SEARCY: ATTENTION: Parishioners

0Comments

It has been brought to Fr. Nelson’s attention that someone had suggested he had ask parishioners for financial support for his family in Venezuela. This is NOT TRUE. Father Nelson’s family is in good health and doing well in Venezuela. Although at times, he may relate stories from Venezuela, please know that his family is in a stable situation and Fr. Nelson is able to support them without assistance.

Perhaps someone received a scam email asking for donations, as this has happened before In the past the sender acting as a priest, deacon, church leader and even the bishop, sent out an email indicating they are needing financial assistance. If this is the case, or someone has contacted you pretending to be Fr. Nelson, please DO NOT provide them with funds and you should delete the email without an answer.

If this has happened to you recently, please contact the Parish Office, as Fr. Nelson will not be asking anyone for funds to support himself or his family
