Earlier this month, a group of nine ASU-Beebe students along with their instructor Eddie Supratman, assistant professor of history/comparative religion, traveled to El Salvador for an ASU-Beebe World History 2023 field trip.

Highlights of the seven-day trip included visiting the university campus in Santa Ana, the U.S. Embassy and a local orphanage where ASU-Beebe students played games with the children.

The group also hiked the Santa Ana Volcano (6.2 miles), enjoyed Lake Coatepeque, the Mayan ruins, Tazumal and Casa Blanca, El Boqueron National Volcano Park and Esquipulas, Guatemala, where they got their passports stamped.

On the last day, the group visited the pre-k children (ages 4-6) and the colorful mural colonial towns along Rita de las Flores.
