The Harding University American Studies Institute will host George and Sally Mayer Fellow for Economic Education and vice president of academic affairs at The Fund for American Studies Dr. Anne Rathbone Bradley as part of its distinguished lecture series at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, in the Benson Auditorium. Bradley’s lecture is titled “Biblical Human Flourishing and Economic Freedom.”

Bradley teaches economics at George Mason University and previously served as the vice president of economic initiatives at the Institute for Faith, Work & Economics, where she continues to research a systematic biblical theology of economic freedom. She also is a professor of economics at The Institute for World Politics and Grove City College. Bradley is co-editor and author of Counting the Cost: Christian Perspectives on Capitalism, For the Least of These: A Biblical Answer to Poverty, and Be Fruitful and Multiply: Why Economics is Necessary for Making God-Pleasing Decisions. Her new book, The Political Economy of Terrorism, was co-authored with Christopher Coyne and Abby Hall and is forthcoming in 2023. She received her doctorate in economics from George Mason University in 2006.
