CITY OF LONOKE: Eclipse Planning in Arkansas

CITY OF LONOKE: Eclipse Planning in Arkansas
0Comments

City of Lonoke issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.

In April of 2024′, Arkansas will experience an influx of tourism thanks to the Total Solar Eclipse event. This has potential to be a huge boost for small towns. Fortunately for us, Lonoke has a unique vantage on I-40 as the first town west-bound near the 100% line of totality. Because of this, it is important that we prepare.

The city is putting together a planning committee and seeking volunteers. If you, or someone you know would like to be apart of the planning process contact City Hall or send us a message.

If you would like to know more, the state’s leading authority on eclipse tourism, will be giving a presentation at City Hall, Jan 13 at 6pm. We would love for you, and especially all business owners, to attend this presentation. You’ll learn more about this great opportunity and have a better understanding of the impact it will have on our community. Lonoke Area Chamber of Commerce Lonoke2022
