City of Lonoke issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.

LONOKE Residential Customers:

Thursday, February 24, 8:00 am

Routes will not run due to our disposal sites being closed. Although the streets are clear, our trucks are full with no ability to dispose.

We pulled our trucks in early yesterday because of the sleet downpour and our disposal facilities shutting down due to the icy roads. This event did not allow us to dump our trucks yesterday.

We will complete Wednesday’s route and Thursday’s routes by tomorrow afternoon.
