Southwest Patrol Officers responded to 10713 Chicot Road regarding shots fired just after midnight on Sunday May 14, 2023. Officers arrived on scene and found two unknown black males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene. MEMS responded and and transported the second victim to a local hospital for treatment. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner responded to the scene and transported the deceased victim to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy and positive identification.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. The next of kin will be notified pending positive identification. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.

#Update: The deceased victim has been identified as 19-year-old Timothy Price.
