During the ASU-Beebe Phi Theta Kappa first meeting of the fall semester, the group presented Honorary PTK Certificates of Membership to Dr. Jennifer Methvin, ASU-Beebe Chancellor; Dr. Jason Goodner, Vice Chancellor for Academics; and Dr. David Mayes, Vice Chancellor for Student Services; in appreciation for their support in the forming of the honor society at ASU-Beebe. PTK Vice President Sierra Miller, Psychology major, led the meeting.

PTK began their academic year last fall and held their induction ceremony last spring. PTK projects during the year included a butterfly garden on campus, electric car demonstration for Earth Week, and campus cleanups.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. PTK advisors are Eddie Supratman, Assistant Professor of History/Comparative Religion; Meredith Gordon, Assistant Professor of Biology, Tammy Phillips-Jerdee, Outreach Advisor Upward Bound on the Heber Springs campus; and Brad Cooper, RCC HVAC Instructor on the Searcy campus.
